    The mismanagement of medical waste in Algerian health institutions has been the most serious and most serious problem affecting the environment and public health, and the subject of our research addresses this problem and increase its risks and harms and how to reduce them through adopting a sustainable method of managing medical waste in line with legal frameworks and international standards. By an effective management that treats its waste from the source of its production to disposal, and therefore the management of medical waste has a major role in protecting the environment thus achieve comprehensive sustainable development. To enrich the subject, our research included a theoretical focus on the conceptual framework and a practical approach to study the reality of the management of medical waste in the public hospital. In the second chapter, we discussed the management of medical waste within the philosophy of sustainable development, namely, the concept of sustainable development, as well as the concept of sustainable development, as well as the concept of sustainable development. Principles and dimensions, and indicators of sustainable development, the management of medical waste and its determinants, as well as stages and steps of the management of medical waste from the source of their production to disposal.
