The Role of Tourism Directorates in Coordinating the Territorial Tourism Offer Case Studies of Saïda and Tiaret
(Ecole Superieure De Managment Tlemcen, 2026-06) BENSEDDIK Imene OussamaNabilAMEUR Bouchra
This study aims to explore the general concepts of territorial coordination and tourism supply, while highlighting the role of the Directorates of Tourism and Traditional Industries in coordinating the territorial tourism offer. Through a case study of the directorates of Saïda and Tiaret—two public institutions responsible for coordinating stakeholders in Algeria's tourism sector—the research investigates the effectiveness of key coordination mechanisms, including human and financial resources, information systems, partnerships, and strategic planning. It further examines how these mechanisms influence the core dimensions of regional tourism supply, namely product unification, service quality, diversification, promotion, and sustainability, particularly in light of the varying tourism potential between the two regions. Adopting a descriptive-analytical approach within a mixed-method design, the study administered a questionnaire to a purposive sample of 100 sector employees, with data analyzed using SPSS software. The findings reveal a strong positive impact of coordination mechanisms on the quality of territorial tourism supply, where partnerships led in product unification, followed by human and financial resources, information systems, and finally strategic planning in the areas of promotion and sustainability.
