    Les facteurs de la surconsommation des médicaments en Algérie Etude empirique : Cas échantillon de la Wilaya de BOUMERDES

    In Algeria, as in other countries, the share of medication use in health spending is increasing. In fact, medical expenses are a heavy burden on the social security system and the public treasury. This increase is the result of a number of factors. This research work has the objective of study: the notion of overconsumption of medicines in Algeria and the factors that cause this overconsumption, our chosen methodology is a survey carried out in a medical environment; with patients from pharmacists and physicians who responded to our questionnaire. This allowed us to deal with the medical reality and to know the different factors related to the consumption of drugs and how they affect the consumption. Indeed, the research findings on the extent of medicines use and the factors that lead to excessive drug use in Algeria are that patients' health status influences the manner and quantity of medicines consumed and the benefit of most Algerians of social security prevents them from considering reducing their consumption are the essential factors that affect the overconsumption of medicines
