(école superieure de managment tlemcen, 2019-07-11) NESSAL DJELLOUD Dounia
the supply chain is an essential process for companies to achieve their objectives and ensure the availability of their products on the market, and the pharmaceutical sector in general . in this context, a dysfunction in the supply chain generates a situation of shortage of medicines with its negative repercussions on public health and the well-being of citizens. this study aims to identify gaps and dysfunctions in the supply chain that can lead to drug shortages, through a study conducted at the Saidal group level . our current work has enabled us to confirm our assumptions made at the beginning of the study, which are: the shortage is caused by a dysfunction in the supply function, the shortage is caused by deficiencies in the production process and the external environment of the supply chain can create a shortage situation
