Abstract

Health care costs, especially pharmaceuticals, continue to grow at a significant rate in most parts of the world in view of the continuous rise in the population and the spread of new diseases, in this regard, many researchers and academics see that inventory management represents a great area for improvement to reduce costs and increase the effectiveness of health institutions. In this study, we touched on the various procedures for the management of pharmaceutical materials in the hospital pharmacy, where we deal in detail with the parts of this course, and we also reviewed the practices of inventory management and the impact of the application of inventory control techniques in health care institutions. As for the practical side, we tried to give a clear picture of the management of pharmaceuticals at the level of the central pharmacy Department in Aoulef’s General Hospital, using the application of the triple analysis model for inventory classification and storage control.
