    Today, a company that is able to adapt to changes in its environment, is a company considered efficient and competitive. These changes occur in all sectors: the industrial sector, the service sector and ICT. The Algerian company is not immune to this change. It must be transformed by relying on logic of flexibility, acquisition, conservation and development of its human resources. Skills development is emerging as a major concern for companies operating in a competitive market in terms of skills. Thus, at the heart of skills development, training is one of the ways to update and integrate new knowledge into professional practice. The training is now considered as a strategic tool to offer employees of the company a better control of their positions that implies to propose an offer of quality in terms of products or services.

    The objective of this study to identify the analysis of training needs and their role in the development of employee performance. To address this issue, the case of an economic institution that accommodates the issue, represented by the Naftal Corporation - Sharqa, was studied. In this study, we rely on the descriptive analytical approach. To achieve this objective, we used the questionnaire as a study tool that included 31 questions. The questionnaire was distributed within the institution to a sample of 80 workers, and the statistical package was used to process the data collected from the study sample using the SPSS, Finally, the most important results that have been achieved are that training is a strategic objective through which the institution seeks to achieve its goals and the goals of its workers by developing the performance of workers on the one hand and increasing productivity on the other. ; The performance evaluation in the organization is very XXXI important to know the strengths and weaknesses of the worker. The results of the performance evaluation also contribute to the identification and analysis of training needs. The training needs analysis stage is an essential and indispensable stage linked to the success of the training process, as it helps to increase the efficiency of training and helps in choosing the topics of the training courses according to the needs.
